Release Notes - v0.49.1

Title: Database reliability fixes, cancellable chain iterators, and SQL-focused database guidance

Date: May 28, 2026

Version: v0.49.1

Hi folks! Here’s what we shipped in v0.49.1.

  • Added give SQL focused database guidance a clearer path: The new database guide maps the SQL store, common query paths, and storage behavior so database work is easier to understand and maintain.
  • Improved keep release history easier to review: The published release coverage now includes the earlier release entry, which makes recent Dingo releases easier to track.
  • Enhanced keep dependency updates current for steadier operation: Refreshed upstream components help Dingo stay aligned with current behavior and continued maintenance.
  • Corrected stop blocked chain reads when callers cancel work: Chain iterators now stop waiting as soon as the calling process cancels the request, which makes long running reads easier to manage.
  • Fixed keep database state aligned with the selected network: Database operations now carry the active network setting more consistently, which helps nodes avoid inconsistent database behavior.
  • Resolved preserve Postgres epoch summaries more reliably: Postgres installations now keep epoch summary readiness intact during updates, which makes snapshot state more dependable.
  • Strengthened retain gap transaction outputs during recovery: Database imports now keep missing transaction outputs and collateral returns more reliably during gap recovery.

  • Updated keep core dependencies current for a more reliable runtime foundation: Dingo now uses newer dependency versions that support steadier operation and maintenance.
  • Fixed stop chain iteration promptly when callers cancel work: Chain iteration now follows the caller context so interrupted work can end cleanly instead of running longer than intended.
  • Corrected store the selected network with database state consistently: Database settings now keep the active network aligned with the node setup.
  • Restored preserve Postgres epoch summary data across database activity reliably: Postgres backed deployments now keep epoch summary information available more consistently.
  • Repaired import gap UTXO data during transaction recovery more completely: Database imports now keep missing transaction output data from being skipped during recovery work.

Title: Clearer Preview swap guidance, broader Leios coverage, and steadier node behavior

Date: May 28, 2026

Version: v0.49.1

Hi folks! Here’s what we shipped in v0.49.1.

  • Added explore Dingo powered swaps with a Preview network example: The new DingoSwap example shows how applications can read pool data, manage assets, build swap orders, and connect a browser wallet for SundaeSwap V3 activity on Preview.
  • Introduced serve merged Leios ranking and endorser data to client applications: Dingo can now deliver merged Leios chain data to connected applications, which expands access for downstream services and testing tools.
  • Expanded persist reward state for richer ledger tracking: Dingo now keeps reward state information available across runs, which improves continuity for reward tracking and treasury views.
  • Enabled apply reward account auto votes under CIP 1694 rules: Dingo now applies stake pool reward account delegation semantics automatically when governance voting follows CIP 1694.
  • Enhanced keep the Preview swap example aligned with current browser tooling: The DingoSwap example now fits current browser build tools more cleanly, which makes local setup and wallet connection behavior more reliable.
  • Updated move Dingo builds onto Go 1.25: The release now aligns test, publish, and module tooling on Go 1.25 for a more consistent build environment.
  • Corrected return clearer transaction submission failures across eras: Transaction submission errors now preserve valid rejection details, which makes failure handling more reliable.
  • Stabilized surface chain sync send failures before connections drift out of view: Dingo now reports chain sync send failures through connection close events so operators can spot broken sessions sooner.
  • Refined prune header tracking during normal sync operation: Dingo now trims retained header history during ongoing sync work, which helps long running nodes stay steadier over time.
